What a Goose

It seems the Dali Lama is little more than a delusional goose.

Suicide bombings and other violence by extremists have unfairly skewed the world’s perception of Islam, the Dalai Lama said.

“Such mischievous people are not just in the Muslim community, but among the Hindus, the Christians, the Buddhists,” he said. “In any community, a few mischievous people are always there.”

With such words of wisdom, is it any wonder people look up to the man? Such simple kindly compassionate words. Unfortunately for the Dali, the words are crap.

Not that this is a very scientific method but lets do a google search on “suicide bombers” Hindu. 290,000 results with most of the first page worth being related in some way to the Tamil Tigers. How ever according to this article on the topic

In 1991, Tamil Tigers assassinated the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi. Later, a suicide bomber killed the Sri Lankan President Ranasinghe Premadasa. The revolt or insurgency in Sri Lanka is not primarily a religious struggle. It is to gain independence or some form of political power for the Tamil.

Lets have a look at what google returns for “suicide bombers” Buddhist. 216,000 results. Ok so there were some, but they mainly attacked military targets. I could not find any instances of a Buddhist swanning into a gaggle of Muslims (for example) and blowing themselves up.

“suicide bombers” Christian 2,460,000! Wow now we’re getting somewhere. Those dastardly Christians are blowing themselves and everyone around them up! Goddammit…..Hang on a sec. A quick flick through the first few pages of the results does not turn up one single Christian suicide bomber who blew himself (and everyone around him) up for Jesus. Not one. It seems the high number of returns is more because of the number of Christians killed by “suicide bombers” than the fact that there are any.

Oh and most of the returns I flicked through actually featured stories of Muslims who did in fact blow themselves up. Unlike most of the other returns. But hey, as the Dali Lama says “it could happen to anybody”. Notice he also calls them “mischievous”. Really? Mischievous is the little kid who just ate all the cookies. Mischievous is the cat sneaking onto your bed to sleep. Mischievous is when people make trouble for other people. Mischievous is not suicide bombers. That is murder. Slightly more letters, but it does start with an “M” though. Close.

On the topic of suicide bombers the Dali Lama is a deluded half wit.
