Half Wit

Proving just what an unacceptable half wit opposition leader Kim Beazley really is, today he calls for the PM to come home from his current overseas trip make a definitive statement about his future to Australian people.

Howard has repeatedly stated that he will stay on as leader for “as long as my party wants me“. This according to Kim is no longer good enough. Why you ask? Well because glorified journalist Rupert Murdoch says it’s time to move on.

What people need to understand about journalists, even over blown and over paid ones like Rupert, is that stability and steady sailing do not sell papers. Change, turmoil, and disruption sell papers. Of course Uncle Rupert wants Howard to move on, there is no news selling in a steady Australia with a stable economy.

What Rupert says is nothing more that spruiking, but the fact that opposition leader Kim sees his words as having some kind of omnipotent message for all who hear them is just plain bizarre.

It is indeed time for an Australian party leader to move on, but it’s not John Howard.
